LMP member spotlight: Patrícia Arsénio
I’m simply obsessed with this photo of our LMP spotlight member this month, Patrícia Arsénio and her dogs. They are totally ready for Pilates aren’t they. As you can also see Patrícia is an avid reader and she gave me two wonderful recommendations in this chat with her. One being a Portuguese poet I hadn’t come across before and am very excited to dive into his work.
Read on for Patrícia’s favourite LMP class and the reason she does Pilates. These two pups are very much involved in her daily practice so she felt they deserved to be featured too and I agree!
Where are you based?
In Lisbon, Portugal.
How did you discover Pilates?
During covid I was looking for an alternative to yoga, as a complement to my practice, and found your youtube channel. I have never done Pilates before and it was love at first sight.
“Practicing has helped me immensely with regulating my anxiety by reminding me to be present in the moment through breath and movement 😊. ”
What’s your favourite class on the LMP platform?
My favourite classes always involve the pilates ball because of the extra challenge! One of my favourites is no doubt the Dynamic Pilates Class using small ball #023.
Do you have a daily non-negotiable or self-care habit?
PIlates! Practicing has helped me immensely with regulating my anxiety by reminding me to be present in the moment through breath and movement 😊.
And for the important stuff - what is your favourite food or do you have a favourite recipe you’d like to share with us?
We are very lucky here; I would say grilled fish any day with just a pinch of salt!
Are you reading anything at the moment?
Reading an oldie at the moment, The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton. And some poetry by one of our Portuguese poets, Fernando Pessoa. He is amazing!
Thank you so much to Patrícia for taking the time to chat with us. We are so honoured and grateful to have you as a LMP member and know you will inspire many of us. Check out previous Member Spotlights here.
