Body Confidence From The Inside Out

It's such a nice feeling when you feel body confident and you sass around feeling positive and on top of the world but then there's days when you can't help but feel negative about your body and judge every little imperfection. Guys and girls have this I'm sure, we are all human. Of course there's things we can do like eating well, working out, wearing cute jeans that can help us but ultimately it's a feeling that comes from the inside out and it's based solely on your own perspective... Recently on a shoot (not for the pics in this blog post) I felt really unconfident in myself. I tried so hard to push the negative feels away but all I wanted to do was curl in a ball and hide.

The thing is, there were so many people on the shoot all day telling me how fab I looked and that the shots were coming out great but because of the feeling inside me, I felt like it wasn't true.I then had to go on a night out still feeling a bit rubbish in myself, bloated, time of the month, sluggish. As soon as I got on the dance floor with my best friends, the thoughts literally disappeared and I felt that sass come back. Nothing had changed in my body, it had only been a couple of hours since I felt like I wanted to go home and curl up under my duvet but I was now having fun, moving my body and I honestly felt body confident again.

The next day I wrote down how I felt when I felt unconfident in my body and what I needed to do to feel confident again. The answers weren't things like lose weight, tone up, stop eating chocolate; they were dance, smile, move, laugh.

Body confidence for me is accepting yourself. The up days and the down days. Own the bloated days and the flat tummy days. Know the steps back to feeling body confident for you so that next time you're in a "curl up in a ball and hide" situation you can breathe and change your perspective.

Get to know your body more and be thankful for it.

Workout because you want to feel good, have glowing skin, lots of energy. Be that person that walks into a room and everyone goes wow, because you are owning your body no matter what day your having. And if all else fails, go out dancing!
