What Podcasts We Are Listening To: Autumn 2022

When it comes to podcasts, our LMP teacher Emily is the guru. She loves a podcast and was my go to girl for writing this post. I personally love holding and reading good book as you know but I do love popping a podcast on when I’m cleaning the house, driving or cooking. I’ve added some of my faves at the end too. As you may see below, Emily is slightly more into spiritual than I am however we are both open to new ways of thinking and constantly eager to learn and connect more. We hope you love our recommendations and would love to hear yours.

Emily’s Favourite Podcasts

EXPANDED podcast by To Be Magnetic hosted by Lacy Phillips

A manifestation podcast, hosted by Lacy Phillips, founder of To Be Magnetic™ and co-hosted by TBM’s Director of Podcast & Media, Jessica Gill. It’s based on Neural Manifestation™, TBM’s unique process that’s rooted in neuroscience, psychology, epigenetics, and energetics– with a little spirituality sprinkled on top.

Saturn Returns with Caggie

Caggie and her guests explore the challenges and opportunities that come with change and our individual quest for authenticity. This podcast aims to bring calm and clarity during times of transition - underpinned by the astrological transit known as your Saturn Return.

My Therapist Ghosted Me hosted by Vogue Williams & Joanne McNally

It’s often said that friends give the best therapy so Vogue & Joanne have teamed up to do exactly that (alongside a generous helping of laughter as that too is said to be the best form of therapy). Together they will give 100% unqualified, unsubstantiated but up front and honest advice on the plethora of issues they and many others continue to grapple with.

The Emma Guns Show

Emma Guns talks to a variety of incredible people about the small changes we can make to make a big difference in our lives.

How To Fail with Elizabeth Day

A podcast that celebrates the things that haven’t gone right. Every week, a new interviewee explores what their failures taught them about how to succeed better.

Best Friend Therapy with Elizabeth Day and Emma Reed-Turrell

Elizabeth is a broadcaster and author. Emma is a psychotherapist. Best Friend Therapy is where we chat about what’s on our minds to get deeper in our minds.

Kitchen Club with Sarah Malcolm and Serena Louth

A podcast that brings you honest conversations around the kitchen table with no boundaries. I was actually a guest on this podcast earlier in the year and loved chatting with Sarah and Serena about everything from food to mental health.

Lottie’s Favourite Podcasts

Women’s Prize for Fiction podcast

Obviously I would listen to a podcast about books! Every week the host chats to an inspiring woman about her favourite books written by women. I’ve got so many book recommendations from this podcast and just adore hearing people chat about their fave books.

Today in Focus by The Guardian

I’m not one to listen to the news but I quite like this podcast to keep up with my current affairs. This podcast takes you behind the headlines for a deeper understanding of the news. Much healthier for my mental health than the Mail Online App.

Parenting Hell

Not just because I’m currently pregnant; Sam and I honestly listened to this show before we even had babies on the brain because it’s so funny. Hosted by Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe who bring such a light hearted and fun approach to the ups and downs of bringing up young children. I giggle throughout these episodes.
